Clinton
is one of that seemingly endless line of grey Holstein world class
jumping machines, a combination of the two great C lines of modern
Holstein breeding: The careful C of the French import, Cor de
la Bryère and the sheer power of Capitol I puts him very
much in a class of his own. His sire Corrado I was an international
jumping star whilst his dam line is solidly Holsteiner. Described
as a “Large framed, cleanly made stallion of striking appearance
with a great deal of presence, smooth top line, of solid bone
a stallion with correct limbs and good feet and an excellent mover
even if somewhat close behind. His progeny are solid,
correct horses and stamps them well, at times, good jumpers with
a strong back all be it a little lacking in the bascule but does
not appear to prevent them from clearing any sized fence. At the
very least, his influence in no way diminished the Holsteiner’s
natural talent for jumping. His undisputed strong point was his
production of performance horses… Of all his sons, Cornet
Obolensky is on the top of everyones toungues. (photos Courtesy

Thanks
to the modern trend of combining stud and sport horse careers,
Clinton is coming to his prime both as a competitor and a sire.
At the Athens Olympic Games, he carried Dirk Demeersman to fifth
in the overall ranking over massive courses. Out of his first
crops, some super talented young jumpers have emerged, including
Undorado Tibri and Unette in Ireland. He is already the sire of
eight approved stallion sons, including Upsilon, Utrilo, President,
Windows and Vuitton.
Clinton was one of the "eye-catchers"
at the stallion show in Oud-Heverlee in Belgium in 1996. Clinton
combines superior conformation, with excellent movement and superb
jumping ability. His sire Corrado won several World Cup Qualifiers
with Franke Sloothaak and was the stallion that won the most prize
money as an approved stallion. Corrado has around ten approved
stalli-ons such as Coriano, Corofino, Calmaro, Contago, Corraldo.
Clinton's dam Urte performed at national level with her owner,
however, Clinton's granddam is more famous. She jumped suc-cessfully
at international level and won around DM 50.000,-- with Karsten
Huck and Dirk Schröder under her sports-name Olympia.
Grandsire
Masetto has the famous bloodlines of Moltke and Cottage Son and
is known as a producer of dressage horses. Clinton had a very
good Performance Test in Oud Heverlee, where he showed a lot of
quality as a showjumper. Clinton participated successfully in
the Classic Cycle for four and five year olds. Clinton and his
rider Dirk Demeersman had a successful year in 2003. They won
the Grand Prix of Lummen and were 2nd in the Nations Cup of Aken,
2nd in the national championship of Belgium and 7th in the worldcup
qualifier of Verona. From his first crop incredibly 3 sons were
approved, Upsilion, Utrillio and President. (photos Courtesy
Of Team Nihof) Clinton became 3rd in the individual ranking
of the Olympics in Athens with Dirk Demeersman .Clinton was second
in the prestigieus Grand Prix of Aachen in 2005. Clinton¹s
offspring start to jump really well internationally, such as Via
Vola ridden by Tina Lund, Cornet Oblensky ridden by Marco Kutscher
and Special with Philippe Roger. With such success and with the
possibility of using his semen out with the Holstein Verband Clinton
is very much at the fore of Breeders choices as are his progeny.

1999 Grey Belgian Warmblood
Approved for: Oldenburg, Rhineland, Westphalia, Hanoverian
Coronet
Obolensky is one of the hottest up and coming young stallions
in the world. At only 7 years old he has already reached international
competition. The highly elastic motions and superb uphill gallop
are well combined with jumping qualities that are hard to equal
in respect to capacity, leg technique and manner of jumping.
This special predisposition is clearly predetermined by his
first class pedigree. |
