Show jumping & Dressage Stallions

Wypke van de Lageweg from Beers in Friesland has been playing a prominent role in sport-horse breeding for many years.

Not only as the owner of the preferent-awarded sire Nimmerdor (by Farn) which produced a very large number of good showjumpers, but also as owner of a large group of stallions that are prominent in the sport.

Jus de Pommes has become an absolute world-class performer under Ulrich Kirchhoff, and Emilion was winner of a Volvo World Cup qualifier. Flemmingh, also owned by VDL Stud, sired a stallion which was licensed in 1996 under the interesting name of Krack C. This bay stallion shows a lot of promise as a dressage performer.

Wellington, another choice-awarded son of Nimmerdor out of a daughter of Lucky Boy xx which also sired Melanie Smith's Calypso, has already produced a number of fine sporthorses, such as the stallions Emilion, Glennridge and San Patrignano Deka. ....

The dam has also produced including Flemmingh, three more approved sons: Gaspari I and II and the Holstein Champion Litorio.

Sire of many selection mares: Kwebbel, Sub-champion UTV and the highest IBOP of the Netherlands with 90 points; Likina Field, Sub-champion UTV; Kavanie, UTV Sub-champion; Rilena, Dutch Champion Foals, and Stealth, the Provincial Champion Foal. His approved sons Krack C., Mooiman, Kelvin and Mount Everest (Sweden) perform well.

In the Pavo Cup Flemminghs offspring are very successful. Krack C. became Dutch Champion at 4 and 5 years old, and finalists were Lingh, Mooiman, Kamille. Flemmingh produces beautiful big, long-lined horses with three perfect gaits. This shows on a great number of Ster - and Keur mares.

The foals of Flemmingh are very much in demand by dressage riders, trainers and dealers, because they are very eager learners , like to work and move very easily. His son, Lingh, placed 3rd in the indoor Dutch Championship ZZ Heavy and is ready for the light tour. Flemmingh is an internationally appreciated dressage stallion.

His dam is a Keur mare with a mare performance IBOP grade A She is a daughter of the full sister of the Holsteiner top sire “Lord”.

The bloodlines of his sire and dam guarantee top performance as Emilion himself has already proved.

Emilion jumped at the highest levels, became 1st in the World Cup at Millstreet, 4th in Grand Prix at Valkenswaard, 2nd in the Grand Prix at Donaueschingen, 5th in Grand Prix London, 6th World Cup Ahus, and with the German Team, he gained the 4th place in Dublin and Rotterdam and 2nd in Bremen.

Several notable offspring from Emilion and their results: VDL Lancaster, Kastor - Wout Jan v.d. Sadly Glenridge died too young. He had a beautiful career as showjumper and would have excelled in his breeding career as a breeding stallion.

Glenridge was Champion of the VSN, Stallion Test, and Stallion Selection He was also very successful internationally: 1st Grand Prix Kossen, 4th Grand Prix Geneve, 3rd Grand Prix Munschen, 1st International Stallion Jumping in Den Bosch, 7th World Cup Amsterdam, 4th World Cup Oslo, and 2nd World Cup Brussels Glenridges' offspring are performing very well: VDL Maya received 3rd place in the National Championship for 4 years old jumpers, Montgommery Champion of the 4 years old jumpers in Zweden, and VDL Nirvana Sub-champion VSN Jumping. Glenridge is limitedly available by frozen sperm.
